Imagine sipping tea at Victoria’s Empress Hotel surrounded by potted palms and wicker furniture whilst a palm court orchestra serenades you. This is the backdrop for the Palm Court Light Orchestra’s concert of light music from the Edwardian age. Commencing with the music of Arthur Sullivan, Victor Herbert and Sigmund Romberg and including songs such as The Road to Mandalay, The Holy City and Vincent Youman’s Without a Song it is an afternoon to enjoy from the distant past.
