Sidney Lions Christmas Toy Drive

This Christmas the Sidney Lions Club will be doing the Christmas Toy Drive on the Saanich Peninsula. We are putting our efforts into supporting local Peninsula families who have registered with the Saanich Peninsula Lions Food Bank to not only receive food hampers but gifts as well for children 0-18 years of age.
We are calling on our community and businesses to help us help others. This year has seen an increase in the number of Peninsula families needing our assistance, but we cannot give them help without your donations.
Ways you can give:
• Drop off new toys, cash, or cheque at our temporary office – Unit 101b, 2506 Beacon Ave, Sidney
• E-transfer donations to: sidneylionsbc@gmail.com
Sidney Lions President, Bill Deslauriers, emphasizes that “it is with immense regret that we cannot give out tax receipts for donations as we are only a registered society without a charitable donation number, but we are hoping that you will still be willing to donate for this worthy cause”.
Our office will be open to accept donations from December 1 to 15, Tuesday to Friday, 12-3 p.m. and Saturday, 12-5 p.m. Stop by 2506 Beacon Ave, Unit 101b (Landmark Building) in Sidney, say hi, grab a hot drink, and enjoy a cookie. Keep up to date by following us on Facebook: @sidneylionstoydrive
While cash is preferred, new toys (excluding used toys, used books and stuffies) are also appreciated. After donations are closed, our elves will get busy purchasing gifts locally from Peninsula businesses.
We recognize many are likely hurting in this economic downturn, so we appreciate and recognize that any amount given is helpful. We would like to thank everyone in advance for your donations and support.
