“The Laundry Room” Exhibit at the Sidney Museum

This exhibit shows contemporary art and historical objects relating to laundry and is a collaboration with four local artists, Elizabeth Carefoot, Laura Feeleus, Sharon Stoneman, and Lesley Turner.

“The Laundry Room” is a result of women reflecting on their past, present, and future experiences with the laundry, reflecting, often with tongue in cheek, on the social, personal and political aspects of this activity.
