Treat Street returns to downtown Sidney for a fun-filled Halloween evening for families! Each year, hundreds of costumed children make their way through downtown Sidney for a safe and festive trick-or-treating experience.

Local businesses and community organizations throughout Beacon Avenue and the downtown core will be handing out candy and treats to little ghosts, witches, superheroes and more. With Beacon Avenue closed to vehicle traffic during the event, families can stroll through downtown and enjoy the Halloween atmosphere together.

Dress up in your favourite costume, bring your trick-or-treat bag and join us for one of Sidney’s favourite Halloween traditions.

Treat Street is presented in partnership by the Sidney BIA and Peninsula Celebrations Society.

THE INSIDE SCOOP

A few quick tips to make the most of Treat Street:

  • Dress for the weather. Treat Street happens rain or shine, so bundle up or bring your rain gear if needed.

 

  • Kids of all ages are welcome! Treat Street is a family-friendly Halloween celebration for everyone.

 

  • Come in costume. The more costumes, the better! We love seeing the whole family get into the Halloween spirit.

 

  • No early birds, please. Trick-or-treating begins at 4:30 pm so our participating businesses and community organizations have time to get ready.

 

  • Beacon Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event to make room for trick-or-treaters.

 

  • Plan your parking. Check out the Town of Sidney Parking map before you arrive to find public parking options throughout downtown.

 

  • Bring a bag or bucket for your treats and, most importantly, have fun! 🎃
