Downtown Sidney will be closed to traffic and invites little ghosts, goblins and princesses to enjoy a family trick-or-treat event on Halloween! Visit various Treat Stations around Sidney as well as at some of the local merchants. Free fun for the whole family! Click here for more information.
COMMUNITY PUMPKIN PATCH

Bats and funny faces will be flickering on front porches soon, but it’s time for your creative pumpkin designs to get the attention they deserve! We invite you to bring your pre-carved pumpkins to the Sidney Visitor Centre located at 2281 Beacon Avenue (just across the street from the Mary Winspear Centre) to have them displayed at Sidney’s Community Pumpkin Patch.
Pumpkins can be dropped off at the Sidney Visitor Centre (2281 Beacon Avenue) between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily from October 20 to October 29.
Every pumpkin holder will receive a treat provided by the Sidney Business Improvement Area Society (Sidney BIA) and will be entered to win a Downtown Sidney Kids Prize Pack drawn on November 1.
HISTORICAL HALLOWEEN HUNT

From October 1st to 31st, the Sidney Museum will be having a Historical Halloween Hunt at the Museum. Sixteen Jack-O-Lantern pictures will be hidden around the museum, each representing a different Halloween tradition. Find all 16, learn about the history of Halloween, and be entered to win a spooktacular prize! More information at sidneymuseum.ca.

Bring your ghouls, vampires, superheroes, fairies, etc. and trick or treat under the sea while supporting two local causes — The New Marine Centre Society and 1000X5 Peninsula. There will be darkness, there will be lights, there will be eerie (but not TOO scary!) displays. Find the underwater jack-o-lanterns. Entry by donation: $5.00/per person (suggested)
